It was all part of the work programme for the young marine cadets who spent up to three weeks in the Antarctica as they manned the vessel, Agulhas, which supported the Coldest Journey on its attempted first ever winter crossing into the South Pole. The expedition is being led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
